A graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I’m a NYC Health Consultant certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a holistic health practitioner, and I hold a certificate in Integrative Nutrition from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
I strongly believe that the healing power of foods, active stress management techniques, exercise and emotional work cannot be ignored by those wishing to live a strong, happy and healthy life. Fueled by a genuine passion for teaching others how to help themselves, I have been involved in the wellness field for more than 10 years and in the process have helped a wide range of clients achieve their goals. I am interested in helping people make a true lifestyle change—which means no quick fixes but rather long-term solutions.
Increased energy, better moods, fewer cravings and lasting weight loss are a by-product of healthy diet and balanced lifestyle. All that’s needed is a bit of patience, commitment and support.
Why I do what I do
Simply put, I love what I do. Helping people to feel better and meet their health and weight loss goals is incredibly rewarding work. Everyone has their thing right? Well, mine is to help you stay healthy and strong for years and years into the future, so that you can enjoy all that life has to offer. An interesting thing happens when you make the commitment to get healthy—the rest of your life becomes healthy as well. Watching the transformation is the best seat in the house.
How I do what I do
Because I love what I do so much, I put a lot of focus, care and attention into each session. I make it my mission to help you meet your goals! I don’t just hand you an impossible food plan to follow and rush you out of the door so that I can fit in 20 sessions a day. Oh no, no no. To the contrary, I believe in the quality of work I do and I shed the metaphorical blood, sweat and tears to get you back to balance and on the right track so that you can not only reach your goals but maintain them.
“I felt that Coleen was particularly skilled in responding to my personality. As someone who is very ambitious and driven I often get frustrated if I feel that I’m not making progress quickly enough. Coleen advocated that change would take time and always guided me to behave compassionately towards myself. Developing self-compassion in tandem with eating well created a virtuous cycle in my life and resulted in decreased stress, lasting weight loss and a more positive outlook overall.
I am so grateful to have learned so much!”
